Parental leave policies vary across the business world. Some
companies offer paid parental leave while others offer unpaid parental leave. The duration of parental
leave also varies from company to company. In some countries, the government mandates a minimum number
of weeks of parental leave that companies must offer to their employees. For example, in the United
States, there is no federal law mandating paid parental leave. However, some states have passed laws
mandating paid parental leave for employees.
